The In-Between Time
Dec 26, 2021Itâs the last week of the year. Itâs the time when we can look back at the year and where weâve been and then look forward to the new year and where we want to go.
Of course, we are all in motion, all the time. It seems we are always looking forward to certain events, or certain accomplishments. Once those have passed, weâre looking forward to the next ones. Sometimes weâre looking forward to a new thing even before we got the last thing⌠We are always in an âin-betweenâ time when weâre not fully where we want to be.
But thatâs the nature of life. We are always âin betweenâ.
We live in the âin-betweenâ, and we need to accept it and be present in it. If we look forward too much, we lose whatâs right in front of us.
I used to spend my weekdays at work rushing towards the weekend, which is where I thought I really wanted to be. As a result, the weeks seemed to fly by and time went too fast. I remember making the conscious decision to pay attention to each day as it came, no matter if it was a workday or a weekend day. For me, it took a lot of stress off me. I had to relax into the âin-betweenâ so that time flowed again, and I did not just make hops in time in between weekends.
What do you think of this? Are you missing the present by rushing into the future too much? Have you decided to relax into the âin-betweenâ? Leave a comment!
Until next time, remember⌠We are all magnificent.
